The questions everyone asks.
I cannot decide which path is right for me.
That is exactly what the Voyage Brief is for. Ninety minutes on the phone, free, no commitment. By the end we both know which path fits the life you actually live, the time you actually have, and the story you actually want to tell.
Can I start on the Compass and upgrade to the Helm later?
Yes. About one in four Compass writers eventually move up to a Helm edition, usually when they realize a chapter needs a real ghostwriter or when life gets busy. We credit one hundred percent of what you paid for the Compass toward any Helm edition. You never pay twice.
Will the AI Compass version sound like me or like ChatGPT?
Like you. The Compass system is built on extensive voice training from your own writing and recordings before you ever produce a chapter draft. The AI is a co-author, not a ghostwriter. It writes in your voice, with your stories, from your perspective. If a draft sounds generic, that is a signal to retrain, not to publish.
How long does it actually take?
The Family Edition delivers a printed hardcover in 90 days. The Heirloom Edition takes 120 days for the leather binding and photo restoration. The Compass paths are 90-day programs but go at your pace. We work to deadlines we can keep, not deadlines that sound impressive.
Who owns the book?
You do. One hundred percent. We do not retain rights, royalties, or any future claim on your story. Manuscript, cover, ISBN, all yours. We are a service provider, not a traditional publisher.
Will it be on Amazon?
If you want it to be. Helm Family and Heirloom editions and the Compass Guided Voyage all include ISBN registration and Amazon distribution. The Solo Voyage gives you the publishing guide so you can do it yourself. Some readers prefer the book stay private to the family. We support either choice.
Do I have to be a good writer to use the Compass?
No. You have to be willing to put in three to five hours a week and tell the truth in front of a screen. The Compass system is designed for people who are not professional writers. If you can write an email, you can write your book on this path.
What if I am running out of time?
Tell us in the Voyage Brief. We have a rush protocol for authors with terminal diagnoses or family deadlines. The Helm Family Edition can be compressed to 60 days when needed. There is no upcharge and there is no judgment.
What does payment look like?
Compass paths are paid in full at start. Helm editions are 50 percent at production start, 50 percent before printing. We accept card, ACH, and check. The Voyage Brief is free regardless of which path you choose.
